You don’t need any previous experience to become a Support Worker with Sense. We’ll give you full training for our part time and full-time roles. 

You will join our amazing Day Centre Team at our fully accessible Sense Hub which has been at the heart of Caerphilly since 2015 providing support to individuals with sensory and complex disabilities. 

Our day service provides a huge range of activities at the Hub and out in the Community with a focus on helping individuals build new skills, confidence and communication. We have fun creating art, music, cooking and pamper sessions.

We have permanent contracts available working up to 30 hours per week. Hours are negotiable to suit your needs. The Hub is open Monday to Saturday 9am-4pm.

We are offering an hourly rate from £11.75 with enhanced rates for overtime and annual pay reviews/ rises.

A full UK driving license and use of your own car is essential for this role.

No two days will be the same

Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. Your priority will be empowering the people you support to live an independent life.

This role might include supporting people with:

  • Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning.
  • Personal care and hygiene.
  • Finances.
  • Medication and wellbeing.
  • Going into the community for shopping, to restaurants or other trips.
  • Their social life and nightlife.
