Could you be a Sense Relief (Bank) Community Support Worker?

We now have an opportunity for a Relief Community Support Worker to join our team in Leamington Spa. 

This is a casual Relief Support Worker role, with various hours available.

Our Get Out There (GOT) Service supports children and young people with their social programme of activities. As a Community Support Worker, you will be providing support to a Child who is non-verbal, short-sighted and profoundly deaf to access the community. Supporting with sensory activities both at home and in the community.

You will support and take part doing activities they enjoy such as going for a walk, going swimming or playing with beads.

Your required skills and experiences:

  • A full UK license and must be willing/able to drive your own vehicle is essential.
  • Experience working with young people who have autism or complex needs is desirable.
  • Knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL) is desirable.

  • To support individuals / groups within the centre and community.
  • To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
  • To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.
