About the role

Sense International has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser to join our team as a Philanthropy Manager and help take our fundraising to the next level. This full time position working flexibily between home and our office in King’s Cross, London.

To support our vision that no-one is left out of life, Sense is investing in our Philanthropy Programme across both Sense and Sense International. We are committed to developing our philanthropy programme, providing best-in-class experiences for our supporters as well as developing new relationships across our UK and international projects. As our Philanthropy Manager you will develop and implement an effective Philanthropy fundraising strategy for Sense International that supports income growth and ensures that we deepen our relationships with existing donors and proactively engage new supporters. Responsibilities will include:

Handling expenditure budgets and KPIs in line with strategy. 
Working closely with Sense International Trustees, Senior Volunteers and our Executive Team, to explore networks and grow our prospect pipeline.
Communicating Sense International’s vision and our work on the ground through well targeted proposals, pitches and reports.

Key skills and experience

  • In-depth experience and knowledge of philanthropy fundraising.
  • Experience of building excellent relationships with high-net worth individuals and producing cultivation and stewardship plans for new and existing supporters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate passionately and persuasively.
  • Strong IT skills, including the use of the full Microsoft Office suite and fundraising databases, ideally Raiser’s Edge.
