Work with us and make a real difference to the lives of disabled people and their families

Work with Sense

Over 2,800 people work at Sense, helping support disabled people with complex needs to communicate, learn, develop and take part in life.

Whether as a support worker, teacher, shop worker, fundraiser, or any number of other roles, you'll be doing something that really matters. Together, we can create a world where disabled people are connected and included.

“When you experience the impact of what you do - how you make somebody else’s life or day better - it gives you the adrenaline to keep going, or to keep making that change.”

What makes Sense different

Equality, diversity and inclusion

Equality, diversity and inclusion are central to how we work. We want our people to be as diverse as those we support, and we work hard to ensure everyone has the opportunity to reach their potential.

Our culture and values

We live and breathe our values. We include. We collaborate. We challenge. We find a way. We celebrate. Our culture is one that listens to people, recognises a good idea, and encourages people to work together to make a real difference.

Development and training

Our commitment to make sure everyone has the opportunity to reach their potential doesn’t just apply to the people we support. It applies to everyone working at Sense.

Bring yourself to work

We’re recruiting support workers across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. You don’t need to have experience as a support worker. You just need to be the type of person that wants to come to work and make a difference.

Find a job as a support worker

As well as our paid positions, almost 2,000 people volunteer at Sense, providing vital support to shops, services and activities.
