Sense International has a exciting opportunity for someone to join our Programmes team as our Global Digital Manager. This is a part-time position working 3 days per week, working flexibly between home and our office in King’s Cross, London. This role is a fixed term position until 31/07/2026.
This role will be responsible for coordinating and driving forward the Sense International Global Digital Resource Hub, part of a critical global education programme for children and young people with deafblindness being delivered across eight countries.
The Global Resource Hub will contribute towards our core education work by acting as a practical tool and platform to break down barriers and improve educational opportunities for children young people with deafblindness.
Our ambition is to have over 100 resources on the Hub in the next three years and with changing content that can adapt and move with the needs of the people we support.
The successful candidate will be developing a new section on the Hub which will be developed specifically for people with deafblindness, with links and information to accessible media, books, information, and existing technology in the different countries we operate in.
Key responsibilities
- Work with Sense International country teams to identify, create and curate a dynamic library of sector leading accessible resources and content for the Global Resource Hub. It will need to be in languages relevant to the countries we work in as well as in a variety of accessible formats (audio and video, pictorial, braille, large print, and child-friendly) and topics (ranging from education to inclusive sport and wellbeing, mental health, etc).
- Author and edit website content in line with the content plan and Sense International’s tone of voice and upload to our Content Management System (CMS)
- Ensure content is accessible, audience-appropriate, good quality, timely and is being regularly updated on the hub.
- Follow, implement, share and deliver support on accessibility, data protection and safeguarding best practice following Sense International’s guidelines.
- Use analytics packages effectively to measure success, report on and update content in line with our project and organisational Key Performance Indicators
- Coordinate regular meetings and liaise with teams to update on plans, progress and key deliverables and produce progress updates for donors.
- Commission and liaise with external consultants and teams in the countries in which we operate to research and scope new local resources, information and technology and lead on any actions that need to be taken with regards to the Global Resource Hub based on the results of the research and scoping.
Key skills and experience required:
- Coordination of high quality, user-centred digital content for websites
- Excellent copywriting skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience of using a Content Management System (CMS)
- Curating content to fit the needs of specific audiences
- Understanding of accessibility needs for different audiences, particularly people with visual and hearing impairments.
- Excellent general understanding of digital channels and technologies
- Understanding of data protection (GDPR) and copyright legislation.
- Understanding of digital analytics and analysis of reports
- Fluency in English (other languages highly desirable)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
- Ability to manage and deliver projects on time and to schedule
- Excellent organisational skills
