The Sense Project Management Team exists to support the prioritisation, planning and delivery of programmes and projects across Sense. The team focuses on ensuring Sense is delivering projects effectively, delivering the best outcomes for the people we support. This role will sit within the Project Management team and will provide project management support across Sense using a set of processes, templates and tools within the project management toolkit.
The successful candidate will lead multiple projects at a time throughout the project lifecyle, developing project requirements, scope, budget estimations, implementation plans and risk/ issue mitigation. As well as coordinating internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget and establishing and maintaining relationships with relevant project stakeholders, providing regular contact on project status and changes
This is a full time hybrid role working flexibly between our Birmingham offices and home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Head of Project Planning and Implementation, the Sense Project Management team and other colleagues, to set up, manage, monitor and evaluate projects.
- Manage all aspects of projects and ensure that deadlines and targets are successfully achieved, using a blended project management approach.
- Work with Finance and individual teams to prepare budgets at the start of a project.
- Broker discussion with colleagues and agree final specification for projects, including scoping, establishing timelines & milestones.
- Ensure that potential risks and issues are identified, tracked and mitigated against as effectively as possible, and developing contingency plans.
- Communicate progress on projects to the Head of Project Planning and Implementation, project boards and other key internal and external stakeholders (including Executive Team).
Skill, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Recognised project management qualification
- Evidence of continuing development of relevant knowledge and skills in social care or the voluntary sector
- Proven implementation of recognised project management principles
- Proven experience of managing projects and processes within a customer driven environment, with stakeholders
- Ability to produce effective project communications and management reports
- Ability to manage change
- Skills in influencing, negotiating, and building sustainable working relationships both internal and external to Sense
