At Sense, we believe everyone deserves to live a full, connected life. Our People Team exists to support every employee and volunteer throughout their journey with us - championing development, wellbeing, inclusion and engagement. We’re now looking for a passionate and strategic HR Manager to join us on a 6-month fixed term contract, helping us shape and deliver change that truly matters.
About the Role
As HR Manager, you’ll be a key driver in building our team’s ability to lead and deliver impactful people initiatives. You’ll work closely with People Partners and HR Advisors to enhance delivery capacity, support transformational change, and embed smarter ways of working across the organisation. From designing workforce planning tools to coaching leaders through change, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening how we support high-performing, resilient teams in a complex, values-led environment. You’ll use data insights to spot risks early, and turn challenges into people-first solutions that move us forward.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partnering across teams to deliver people projects that support evolving organisational priorities.
- Supporting change management, organisational design, and role realignment to meet future workforce needs.
- Coaching leaders on people management, change resilience, and employee engagement.
- Using data and insights to drive decision-making and mitigate people risks.
- Embedding inclusive practices and championing EDI across teams and locations.
- Providing expert HR guidance in complex casework and employee relations matters.
- Supporting the implementation of HR policies and initiatives at a local level.
- Promoting our safeguarding commitments and embedding them into all people practices.
What We’re Looking For
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience in HR, change management or OD.
- A track record of successfully delivering HR or change programmes across dispersed teams.
- Strong experience in workforce planning, capacity modelling and risk mitigation.
- Excellent stakeholder and influencing skills – confident at all levels.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for delivering practical, people-focused HR solutions.
- Deep commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- A values-led approach, with an understanding of (or willingness to learn) how to support people with complex communication needs.
