t's an exciting time as Sense is growing, we now have an opportunity for Practice Team Leaders to join our service in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland.

Within our 10 bedded residential service supporting individuals with sensory impairment and/or complex needs, a beautiful service, offering a supportive working environment which is commitment to quality, and an emphasis on training and development of our staff! The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they are all treated as such. 

Practice Team Leader (Nights) to join our service in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland. This is a permanent postition working 24 hours per week, doing 2 x 12 hour shifts. Fantastic for someone looking for work life balance, including every other weekend off!

Practice Team Leader (Days) to join our service in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland. This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week, spread over 3 shifts! This is an opportunity to develop leadership and management skills in a small supportive team.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to lead shifts and manage, support and mentor staff.  As an organisation Sense is committed to a comprehensive training and development programme and will support staff to achieve formal qualifications.  We also offer a supportive work environment, with an attractive working pattern, including every other weekend off, a company pension and benefits package and a holiday entitlement that starts at 35 days per annum.

 

We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants who have:

  • Positive, with a can-do attitude.
  • Caring and empathetic.
  • Passionate about enhancing other people’s lives and encouraging others
  • Experience in a professional care environment, now looking to progress. 
  • Knowledge of multi sensory impairments / learning difficullties is beneficial.
  • Willing to work towards Level 3 Diploma in health and social care or equivalent

No two days will be the same

 

This role in Carrickfergus might include supporting people with:

  • To support individuals / groups within the home and support other members of staff 
  • To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
  • To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.
  • Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning.
  • Personal care and hygiene.
  • Finances.
  • Medication and wellbeing.
  • Working.
  • Going into the community for shopping or other trips.
  • Their social life and nightlife.
