Currently we are providing adult services, but we have provided community support to children in the past.  The Community Services have a team of Intervenors and Community Support workers providing support within the community for people to learn, maintain and improve life skills, linking in with the community for social, leisure, educational or work-based activities.

We currently support 8 adults with Learning Disabilities with a single or dual sensory impairment, sense are looking for a manager that can lead a team for the people we to support enjoy real life experiences and opportunities, paid employment, friendships, relationships, joining clubs and groups of interest like the gym, slimming world, self-advocacy groups such to name but a few things and being active members in their local community. This will lend the opportunity to work with funders within both Adult and Children departments of the Local Authority, working alongside the people we support, families and Sense’s recruitment team to recruit team members with a person-centred approach, you will have good support from the Operations Manager and Head of Operations for the development and growth with the service. In our last CQC inspection we were rated 'Outstanding'. We would ike you to register with CQC as the RCM for the Southwest community services and be a highly motivated individual with lots of energy and enthusiasm to ensure that those we support increase independence, explore new opportunities with a creative approach to problem solving, all with a can do attitude.

Sense RCM / Operations Manager -  "I have worked for Sense since 2005 starting my career journey with Sense as an agency support worker in a residential service for adults, during my time with Sense I have been well supported by colleagues, Managers, and the organisation to reach my full potential, offered support to learn, train and given progression opportunities. I have benefited from having coaches and mentors during my career progression as well as support on a personal level.  The role of RCM can be challenging as well as rewarding and I have found that having regular managers meetings where we have 23 Managers for Residential, Supported Living, Community Services both Children and Adult, 3 Operations Managers and or head of services allows diversity, real support from people that understand as well as practice sharing, solving those “little things” and brain storming the “big things” has always made me feel involved, listened to and very well supported.  This support network has been invaluable throughout my career with Sense but never more so during Covid-19.  Sense has teams of people to support me in my role for advice such as Health and Safety, HR inc Recruitment, although as a manger you will take a real lead working with the Recruitment Team to achieve person centred recruitment, Quality Team and Learning & Practice Development Teams. We encourage growth and learning through training and opportunities, internally and externally. All of this has made me feel valued, respected and I have given real contribution to all services I have supported which is rewarding, I have never stopped learning and absolutely love my job."

Hours are worked flexibly to meet the needs of those we support, their team and the service.
