Sense has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Holidays and Short Breaks team as a Holidays and Short Breaks Play scheme volunteer. This is a voluntary position, working between 5 - 15 hours per week depending on how many hours you would like!
Volunteering offers unique benefits, you can't simply get anywhere else! You do not work for money, but for the feeling you get from helping individuals live the life they choose!
If you are an engaging, positive, caring person who would like to enhance other poeple's lives, then this is the role for you!
Volunteer at the playscheme, supporting staff and young people living with complex needs have fun during the school holidays. Engaging in a range of activities from arts and crafts to accessible circus and dance groups. In this role you’ll be a key part of our exciting Sense Holidays programme, creating opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy their school holidays, to try new things, do things they enjoy, and meet others in a safe supportive environment.
Each year, Sense supports up to 100 disabled people of all ages on our programme of holidays and residential short breaks. These are delivered throughout the year across England and Wales, through an extensive network of committed volunteers and sessional staff. For everyone living with complex disabilities. For everyone who is deafblind. Sense is here to help people communicate and experience the world. We believe that no one, no matter how complex their disabilities, should be isolated, left out, or unable to fulfil their potential.
