- You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker.

Could you be a Sense Daytime Community Support Worker?
Sense have an exciting new opportunity for a Community Support Worker in Bridgend / Tonypandy. This is a permenant position working 18 hours per week in a community setting, there is potential for additional hours and to progress in the role. Sense are offering a community support worker £9.75 per hour, £19,013 (FTE). Weekend work is included within the role, shifts usually run between 10am - 4pm.
This role is in a well established community service in Tonypandy, supporting clients with sensory impairments to maintain independence and carry out activities that are important to them. Support can include helping a client with their weekly shopping, visiting family, taking exercise, attending local groups or attending medical appointments.
As a Community Support Worker, you will be supporting individuals who have a range of complex needs, including sensory loses and learning disabilities. The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they are all treated as such. As a general guide, you may support individuals to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing.
Basic BSL skills would be an essential requirement for this role as you will be supporting an individual who is a BSL user. We are also looking for you to have a full UK driving license and access to your own car as you will be required to transport clients within the community.
You must be enthusiastic, adaptable and friendly with a commitment to ensuring the individual you work with get the best out of their lives.
