We are Sense Get Out There Group, a high quality community care service in Stratford Upon Avon, who are passionate about supporting children and young adults.

We’re seeking to recruit a great new Community Support Worker on a part time basis. You will be working 6 hours fortnightly (12 hours per month) and we would like someone with the right values and behaviours to work in our bespoke service.

You will be supporting a young individual who has a visual impairment and is autistic. They can communicate verbally however, sometimes the use of Makaton will also be required.

As a Community Support Worker, you will support the individual to access the community facilities such as trampolining, climbing, kayaking, creative arts, parks, farm trips, getting out and about. The individual also enjoys lego and creative arts as well as visiting Costa.

You don’t need to have previous care experience, nor do you need care qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker, we will provide you with all the training you may require. Your required skills and experiences:

A full UK licence and must be willing/able to drive your own vehicle is essential.
Understanding or experience working with individuals with autism or guiding experience is desirable.
You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker.
