Are you looking to progress your career, within the care sector? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join one of our dual managed services based near the centre of Spalding.

This Team Leader role is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop. This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week. Sense are offering a Team Leader £21,048 per annum.

The role will be supporting the deputy and the manager in the day to day running of the service and taking the lead to co-ordinate person centred activities for the 6 individuals living at the service. We believe first and foremost that this is their home we just happen to work in it, and it should feel homely and comfortable. You will need to be enthusiastic, willing to participate in a wide variety of activities. Have a can do attitude, great problem solver able to coach members of the team. Flexible with regards to work as this role involves shift work across the whole year including sleep ins between 10pm and 7am which are paid in addition to your salary at £50 per sleep in.

Sense support our staff to gain skills and qualifications and experience – we take part annually in a Mentoring scheme with 11 other charities, we have a great apprenticeship programme – this is addition to providing all staff with a great induction, and plenty of training. You will need to be a good role model, have experience of mentoring and inducting staff, supporting staff through supervisions and creating development plans.You will need to communicate in a variety of different methods and be prepared to deal with challenging situations. You will also be expected to work on your own initiative and show patience and understanding.

You will also require to hold a Full UK driving licence to provide transport for individuals at the service.

Team Leader - Social Care, Duties:

  • To support individuals / groups / teams within the home, centre and community.
  • To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
  • To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.

Team Leader - Social Care, Experiences:

  • You require a full manual UK license and must be willing/able to drive our vehicles.
  • Previous experience as a support worker or team leader in a similar setting – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent Team Leader. 
  • Experience of conducting supervisions and rota management is beneficial.
