About the role

Sense has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Sense International team as a Head of Fundraising and Communications, working flexibly between home our office in King's Cross, London. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. 

Sense International’s income has grown considerably in the last few years and this role is key to our success. The successful candidate will witness first-hand how their work directly impacts the lives of children and young people with deafblindness.

The successful candidate will lead the Sense International Fundraising Team to deliver income growth across multiple funding streams, in particular statutory, trusts and foundations and philanthropy. They will focus on building strategic, multi-year partnerships with donors in the high value space.


Key skills and experience

  • Experience of leading a team of fundraisers across a high-value portfolio to deliver agreed income targets.
  • Experience of developing fundraising strategies and plans, agreeing targets, and setting, monitoring and reforecasting budgets of £1million+.
  • In-depth experience of one or more of Statutory, Trusts and Foundations and/or Philanthropy fundraising and the ability to lead across all three areas.
  • Ideally, experience of international development and disability rights.
