Could you be a Sense Community Support Worker?

It's an exciting time as Sense has just released its new strategy, and our Get Out There (GOT) Groups are getting expanding! We are currently recruiting for a Community Support Worker to join our Get Out There Group in Rugby.  You don't require any experience, as Sense will provide you with all training.

If you are an engaging, positive, caring person who would like to enhance other poeple's lives, then this is the role for you! You will support people to live the life they choose, and to grow with their independence.

This is a permanent part time role, working 6 - 10 hours per week (More hours available during the holidays, please see below). The shift pattern will vary throughout the week and there any be an opportunity to increase hours in the holidays.

As a GOT Group Support Worker you will be supporting either one or both of the young people in Rugby. Both with autism, sensory processing, anxiety. They would like active support workers to take them swimming, bowling, cycling, skateboarding, dirt tracks, parks, trampolining. To support their development of life skills, enabling them to live the lives they choose. 


One package: 6 – 10 hrs term time – 12hrs a week in holidays

One package: 10 hrs term time – 15 hrs a week in holidays

Your required skills and experiences:

  • You require a full UK license and must be willing/able to drive your own vehicle.
  • You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker. 
  • Knowledge of multi sensory impairments / learning difficullties is beneficial.
