This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking for work life balance, as core hours for our service are 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekends.

If you are looking for an exciting, rewarding, new role where no two days are the same, then this role is for you. We currently support over 50 clients with sensory impairments and additional needs throughout South Wales and have a team of 20 Communicator Guides deliver this valuable service

The Team Leader will support the Service Manager to manage the day to day running of a responsive, innovative, high-quality service for people with sensory impairments and complex needs.  Special attention will be paid to the creation of a continuous learning environment that will seek to maximize the potential of each person. You will be expected to provide some cover to clients when staff are ill or on annual leave, therefore access to your own vehicle and business insurance is required.

You will be rewarded with a sense of achievement knowing that you are making a difference to the lives of the people we support who otherwise would live a very isolating life.

In return for your hard work you will receive a wide range of benefits including:

  • 24 days’ holiday + bank holidays; increasing with length of service
  • Free DBS Check
  • Free leadership and management development (such as our award winning Growing Stronger Leaders Together programme)
  • Full Free access to over 100 online and face to face training including the care certificate.
  • On-going development opportunities
  • Flexible working and family friendly policies
  • £350 Employee referral scheme
  • Health and well-being support
  • Pension Scheme
  • Discount scheme

Duties:

  • Ensure team members are equipped to deliver a quality service to the people they support.
  • To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
  • To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.
  • Full job specification is attached below.

 Desired Experience:

  • You must be able to work flexible hours to suit the service requirements and have the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role as you may be required to transport clients.
