Ensuring children and families get the best possible start is a strategic priority for Sense as set out in our organizational Strategy 2021 – 2026.  The development of a national Early Intervention and Play Service is a key part of delivering this strategic priority. 

The Early Intervention and Play Service will support children with complex disabilities and their families with all aspects of development, including communication, interaction and play.  By providing information, guidance and support; along with delivering pre-school sessions, developing activities and resources, and providing family events; the service will give families the skills, strategies and confidence to interact, build relationships and communicate with their child.  It will enable children to have fun, be happy, thrive, learn and enjoy the moment.

The Early Intervention and Play Service co-ordinator will:

  • Co-ordinate the new National Early Intervention and Play Service
  • Co-ordinate information for internal and external stakeholders, including communication and marketing support
  • Provide high quality administrative support to our National Lead and Play workers
  • Support development and monitoring of the programme including contributing to regular impact and outcome reports, audits and data collection

Your required skills and experiences:

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages and other applications including Sharepoint, teams and Zooms
  • Experience of working as an administrator supporting a busy team

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to develop working relationships with children and families, based on respect, trust and confidence

  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills. Able to manage multiple projects and multi-task.
