Could you be a Sense Relief Support Worker?

Sense now have opportunities for Female Relief Support Workers to join our Assisted Living Service in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. These are permanent roles, with Flexible hours. We work flexibly across the week so can offer part time/full time and relief/bank contracts. A great first step into the care sector, no professional care experience is required as Sense will provide you will all the specialised training to become a great Support Worker.

Sense offers 24hr support to individuals, 365 days a year. There will be a variety of shifts on offer including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Your role is to be able to support individuals to access community services as the home is geographically set apart from the main town area. We are located in the beautiful historic market town of Trowbridge where there is some incredible countryside with the River Biss running through the west of the county. Just 8 miles southeast of Bath there are transport links to Bath, Bristol and good links to London! 

Here we support 4 individuals within their shared home in a quiet cul-de-sac, with easy access to the local town and amenities. We are a small but committed team, who support the people who live in their homes to have fulfilling lives. The homely atmosphere created within the house is regularly commented on by people that visit, we are very proud of this, making the Trowbridge service a fanatstic place to both work and live. 

We are looking for a support worker who is reliability, flexibility, with a happy disposition and a willingness to provide a high standard of support for the people that call the service their home.

  • To support individuals / groups within the service and community.
  • To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
  • To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.

Female Relief Support Worker,  Trowbridge Wiltshire, Desired Experiences:

  • A full manual UK license would be beneficial but is not essential
  • For genuine occupational reasons we are looking to appoint a female candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).
  • You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker. 
  • Knowledge of multi sensory impairments / learning difficullties is beneficial.
