Could you be a Sense Daytime Support Worker?

It's an exciting time at Sense, we now have an opportunity for a Daytime Support Worker to join our residential day service in Carrickfergus, Northern ireland. This is a permanent role, working up to 35 hours per week depending on your suitability / availability, we have a range of different contracts available both Part time or Full time. Our Service runs from Monday - Friday so you would not be required to work weekends, which is great for someone looking for work life balance within the care sector. 

You must hold a full UK drivers licence, To support individuals with transport to and from home.

An exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing service as a Support Worker, you will be supporting individuals who have a range of complex needs, including sensory loses and learning disabilities. As well as supporting with personal care, you’ll support our residents to do the activities they enjoy; this might include sports, acting, trips to the theatre, cooking, or supporting someone to attend social events. Helping to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing. Within the service there are 4 weeks of fixed leave to allow for centre closures.

  • To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
  • To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.

Daytime Support Worker, Carrickfergus, Desired Experiences:

  • You must hold a full UK drivers licence, To support individuals with transport to and from home
  • You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker. 
  • Knowledge of multi sensory impairments / learning difficulties is beneficial.
