About the role

Sense has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Payroll Team as a Payroll Apprentice, based at our office in Wakefield. This is a fixed term part time role working 22.5 hours per week until the end of the apprenticeship.  Current apprentice rates are as follows;

  • Aged 18-20-years old: £6.83 per hour
  • Aged 21-22-years old: £9.18 per hour
  • Aged 23-years old and over: £9.50 per hour

The succesful candidate will assist with the processing of monthly payrolls, including post changes, starters, leavers, statutory payments/deductions, input of monthly overtime, etc. As well as supporting with the production and distribution of payroll reports and payslips.

  • Experience of working in a customer focussed environment and an understanding of good customer service
  • Good organisational skills, including good time management and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
