Could you be a Sense Team Leader?
We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and organised person to join our amazing, professional team as a Team Leader (Social Care) at our service covering South Wales. This is a permanent, part time position working 15 hours per week with the potential for additional hours if preferred working in the community.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking for work life balance, as core hours for our service are 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekends.
If you are looking for an exciting, rewarding, new role where no two days are the same, then this role is for you. We currently support over 50 clients with sensory impairments and additional needs throughout South Wales and have a team of 20 Communicator Guides deliver this valuable service.
The Team Leader will support the Service Manager to manage the day to day running of a responsive, innovative, high-quality service for people with sensory impairments and complex needs. Special attention will be paid to the creation of a continuous learning environment that will seek to maximize the potential of each person. You will be expected to provide some cover to clients when staff are ill or on annual leave, therefore access to your own vehicle and business insurance is required.
The role involves supporting clients with various levels of hearing and sight loss so the ability to use or a commitment to learn BSL is essential. A good communicator is required as clients use a range of communication methods.
