We have an exciting opportunity to join the Sense Cymru Management team as we open our first “Hub” in North Wales. 

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Manager to join our fantastic team. This is a permanent contract working 37.5 hours per week. The day service runs from 8am to 5.30pm and you must be flexible to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends to suit the people we support. 

This role will challenge, excite and never be dull with all complexities of working for a vibrant values-based organisation, but it will be truly rewarding for the right person.

About our Service

Located in the heart of Denbighshire, the North Wales Centre is a newly renovated building with fantastic facilities including four large activity rooms, meeting rooms, inclusive technology, two fully accessible bathrooms with hoists, a sensory room, a teaching kitchen, independent living skills flat and a big enclosed sensory garden.

The centre offers a place for people with sensory and complex disabilities to build connections by developing communication skills and independence, meeting other people, being creative with arts and crafts, music sessions and taking part in sport and exercise – all supported by skilled, specialist staff. Our community events will bring everyone together, while our day services support people with complex disabilities to live full lives.

Our pioneering total communication approach supports individuals to express what matters to them – there needs, goals and aspirations which we will make sure these are clearly understood by everyone.

About You

We are seeking a person who is experienced at:

  •  Managing all aspects of large a day service and staff team
  •  Supporting individuals with complex communication difficulties and associated conditions
  •  Developing and leading high-quality activities and experiences for the people we support. 
  •  Building strong partnerships with families, stakeholders, and local authorities.
  •  A good communicator
  •  Proactive, creative, and flexible in your approach
  • Committed to the principles and drive to modernise day activities
  • Committed to the promotion of inclusion and individual participation
  • Believe in the value of partnership working to achieve best outcomes for individuals
  • Committed to safeguarding vulnerable adults and conversant of policies, procedures, and best practice in respect of this
  • Highly motivated
