- To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.

Could you be a Sense Support Worker?
It's an exciting time as Sense now have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our service in Leeds. This is a Permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week.
The successful candidate will support five adult individuals in our residential service, these individuals have dual sensory needs and disabilities, we are here to support and promote their independence, choice and enhance inclusion in the community. The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they are all treated as such. As a general guide, you may support with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing. You may accompany/participate in leisure activities of the person’s choice, for example collecting benefits, gym, swimming, accessing banks, attending groups, pubs, shopping, rally’s, day trips etc.
The main purpose of your role is to support people to be as involved as possible in every part of their day to day lives so that they can be full and active members of society. You will work within the framework of the Sense' I Statements, some of which are: To keep the needs of the people you are supporting, at the centre of your attention at all times, Enable the people you support to influence their services and the way they are supported, Help Sense to provide a high-quality service to meet all peoples needs such as personal care, cleaning, cooking, laundry, activities, To uphold dignity and respect at all times, work well within a team.
