- Knowledge of or qualification in British Sign Language or similar is beneficial ( BSL / Makaton etc.)
- You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker.
- The willingness to learn, be open minded and to be flexible and adaptable is essential.
- Prior experience of supporting individuals with sensory impairments / learning disabilities and challenging behaviours is desirable.

Sense has some fantastic opportunities for Support Worker's to join our service in Exeter, EX4. We have a variety of contracts available both Full time / Part time with up to 37.5 hours per week available depending on your suitability.
A great role to fit around your day to day life, our night shifts are 10pm - 8am perfect to work around the school run for parents. We are happy to discuss a mixture of Day and Night shifs depending on your availability, as we are opffering £10.00 (Days) £10.50 (Nights)
Located in the Centre of Exeter, so very easily accessible for all!

Here in Exeter within the Residential service we support 9 individuals, who have various communication needs including BSL, hands on hand & macron. Also some various mobility needs, physical and mental needs. The people you will support may have spent their day doing things like; shopping, swimming, going to the beach, or a local football match. They also love our trips; previously we supported individuals to go to Dorset, Cornwall, and even abroad to Lanzarote! We are all very outgoing people and great to be around.
The duties are varied and no two nights will be the same. The people we support at our residential service are individuals and they are all treated as such. As a general guide, you may support with indivuduals needs throughout the night and help to wind down at the end of their day. Creating a calm and relaxing environment.
