Could you be a Sense Waking Nights Support Worker?

It's an exciting time as Sense has just released its new strategy, we now have an opportunity for a Waking Nights Support Worker to join our service in Peterborough.

This is a permanent role, working 27 hours per week. As a Waking Nights Support Worker you will receive £10.25 an hour.

This is a 10-bed residential service in Peterborough, where we support adults with sensory loss and learning disabilities. 

As a Waking Nights Support Worker, you will ensure individuals needs are met and that they remain safe during the night. You will be responsible for supporting the individuals and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and record keeping.  

We value ourselves on delivering a high-quality person-centred service and we are looking for applicants that are able to share those values, are enthusiastic and able to work on their own initiative. There will be an opportunities to develop and use a range of communication methods. 

You will be supporting with personal care needs throughout the night when necessary.

The shifts patterns are between 10:00pm and 7:00am which varies across weekday and weekend nights. There are opportunities for overtime on days and nights.

Your duties can include:

  • To support individuals / groups within the home.
  • To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
  • To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.

Your required skills and experiences:

  • You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker. 
  • Knowledge of multi sensory impairments / learning difficullties is beneficial.
