Could you be a Sense Waking Nights Support Worker?

It's an exciting time at Sense, as we are seeking Waking Nights Support Workers to join our service in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland. This role is 21 hours per week and Sense are offering a Waking Nights Support Worker in Carrickfergus an hourly rate of £10.25, this is calculated and paid as a base rate of £9.75 plus additional 50 pence allowance per hour paid for your standard in service hours, this will increase to £11.46 per hour if you choose to work overtime.

We have a condensed working pattern to offer a better work life balance, 3 shifts one week, 4 the next on a standard 2 - week pattern. Shifts being from 12am – 6am!

This Waking nights Support worker role is an exciting opportunity to progress and/or develop your management experience in a high-quality person-centred environment. Edenvale Avenue is a small 10 bedded residential service supporting individuals with sensory impairment and/or complex needs. The high staffing ratios reflect Sense’s commitment to provide high quality services that meet the unique needs of the people we support. The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they are all treated as such. As a general guide, you may support with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing.

We have created new twilight roles to enhance the quality of our service provision.  Successful applicants will have the opportunity to lead shifts and manage, support and mentor staff.  As an organisation Sense is committed to a comprehensive training and development programme and will support staff to achieve formal qualifications.  We also offer a supportive work environment, with an attractive working pattern, including every other weekend off, a company pension and benefits package and a holiday entitlement that starts at 35 days per annum
