Could you be a Sense Support Worker?

Sense now has a fantastic opportunity for Support Workers at our service in Ottery St Mary, devon. We are flexible with peoples requirements so are able to offer contracts from 7.5 up to 37.5 hours per week, depending on your suitability / availability. Sense are offering a support worker £10.00 per hour/ £19,500 per annum FTE. A great first step into the Care sector, you require no formal care experience, as sense will provide you will all the training you will need to become a great support worker!

Sense Otterhayes is a cluster on supported living services (7 properties) and one residential care home (for 5 people). The services have access to a poly tunnel for people to grow their own fruit and vegetable. There is an art room and a small studio. This is really fantastic time to join Sense Otterhayes – as we move forward with an ambitious plan to bring about major changes – we want to modernise this newly acquired service.

Support Worker, Ottery St Mary, Devon, Desired Experience:

  • Caring/Support Worker experience in a personal / voluntary / professional capacity.
  • Be able to adapt your communication style to meet the needs of those you are working with. Where necessary develop new skills to enable communication through sign and symbols.
  • Experience of working independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Willing and able to accompany/participate in leisure activities of the person’s choice.
  • No formal care experience required - we will train you to become a great support worker!
