Could you be a Sense Support Worker?

We have exciting opportunities for Support Workers to join our fantastic residential service in Louth.

Our service provides 24/7 support throughout the year to 5 individuals with complex needs and learning difficulties. We support with every aspect of life to promote independence. 

We have permanent roles available from 7.5 hours per week on Saturday and/or Sundays with the opportunity to also undertake hours in the week as well as sleep-ins at an enhanced rate.

Weekend shifts consist of: Early shifts 7am-2.30pm and Late shifts 2.30pm -10pm.

We provide a person-centred service with the best interests of the people we support at the heart of what we do. We promote an inclusive ethos where no one is left out of the opportunity to live a full, interesting, and engaging life as independently as possible. We support our individuals to access the community, experience days out, attend activities and events as well as everyday skills for independence around the home. Our team work together to deliver a well-structured and meaningful programme of activities and each member brings their skills and qualities to the team. We support 365 days each year including weekends and bank holidays and support each individual to attend a holiday each year. These have included Euro Disney, Calvert Trust, Butlins, seaside, Matlock, Derbyshire, and Blackpool which are enjoyed by the people we support and the team who are supporting them.

Your duties can include:

  • To support individuals / groups within the centre and community.
  • To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
  • To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.

Desirable skills and experiences:

  • You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker. 
  • Full UK manual driving license is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of multi sensory impairments / learning difficullties is beneficial.
