- You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and proof of vaccination status must be shown unless you are exempt under the regulations.
- Knowledge of or qualification in British Sign Language or similar is desirable. ( BSL / Makaton etc.)
- You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker.
- Knowledge of multi sensory impairments / learning difficullties is beneficial.

Sense has a great opportunity for a Support Worker to join our service in Kingstanding, Birmingham.
This is a permanent role, working 15 hours per week.
You will join a fantastic team at our service in Kingstanding, where we support adults who have a range of complex needs, including sensory loses and learning disabilities.
As a Support Worker, you will support the individuals with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing.
The duties are varied and no two days will be the same.
The shifts vary throughout the week and the shift pattern at this service are as follows: 7am-2.30pm, 2pm-9.30pm and sleep-in shift is from 9:15pm-7:15am. The sleep-in shift expectation would be once per week.
