We’re looking for unique individuals to support and enrich the lives of the people we support.
We are Sense, a high quality care service in Poole, who are passionate about supporting adults with complex needs, including Deafblindness, sensory losses and learning disabilities.

Together we will make the day to day the best it can possibly be for both you and the person you will support. The person you will support likes to try new things and access lots of community facilities where possible, you will need to come up with ideas and solutions to make the most out of every day.
The person you will support has their own vehicle which you will use to help access activities, so a valid UK driving licence is beneficial. For genuine occupational reasons we are looking to appoint a female candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).
You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker. Above all we want someone that shares in our values. These are:

The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The person you will support is an individual and treated as such. Duties will include some support with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support health and wellbeing. The working week is planned around the individual you support so will require you to work some weekends and sleep ins.

This role is based in a CQC registered service and the government will be introducing legislation requiring everyone who works in CQC registered services across England to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by April 2022. This will be a legal requirement and so we will need to see proof of vaccination status if you are offered and accept this role. To show evidence of your vaccination status, you can use the NHS App or NHS web browser. A normal COVID PASS cannot be shown as vaccination evidence for this role. You can also show evidence in a COVID NHS letter, this letter must show either that you are medically exempt or that you have been fully vaccinated. All NHS letters must have the Unique Reference Number and barcode across the top
