About the role

Sense has a great opportunity for a passionate individual to join our team as a Children and Family Support Worker, working with families at our centre in Woodside, Bristol. This role is fully flexible we can accept applications from candidates looking for part time or full time; just let us know how many hours you are looking for. 

The successful candidate will provide a professional, coordinated model of support to children and young people who are deafblind and their families. This will involve working with colleagues to offer a range of accessible events and activities, as well as family support on an individual basis.

A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role.

Key skills and experience

Experience of working with disabled children or young people, including those with sensory impairments, is essential. You should hold a diploma in Childcare and Education, NNEB or equivalent Level 3 qualification. A sound knowledge of safe guarding processes is also required, as well as the skills necessary to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You should also have strong IT and administrative skills to support yourself in this role.
