About the role;
Statement from the Service User;
I have a condition that includes severe sight impairment, diabetes and I have a profound hearing loss. I am also extremely light-sensitive (photophobic).
I manage my Diabetes with diet and exercise. I have a cochlear implant fitted which has improved hearing on my left side. I am able to hear what others are communicating if the environment is quiet. I would like to learn Finger Braille to communicate in busy environments.
I like to live a healthy lifestyle and need support to build a social life and take part in preferred activities. Activities I enjoy are:

I am looking for someone who is patient and has a good sense of humour to support me in this role.
I have a sensitivity to smells and would wish for my Support Worker to not smoke or wear perfume/aftershave whilst on duty.
What we need from you…
The passion and drive to make a real difference to someone’s life. We do not require you to be an experienced support worker to join Sense, however we do ask that you embrace our beliefs, values and 'I' statements, all of which can be found on our website.
Having a valid UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle is essential.
