Could become a "buddy" to help children access the community after school and on weekends.?

We’re seeking to recruit great new support workers on a part time basis working 4 hours over evenings and weekends, potentially additional hours during the school holidays.

This is a fixed term post until March 2022. You will be community based, caring for children with with a various disabilities and additional needs. we will asses your suitability/availability and match you with a child/children. We also have the option for you to join our youth club.

You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need care qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker, we will provide you with all the training you may require. If you do have a NVQ Level 2 in caring for children and young people or an equivelant qualifications, this would be benficial..

The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they all treated as such. However, as a general guide, duties may include activities such as supporting the young person to access the community and encourage their communication and social interaction.
