Do you enjoy outdoor pursuits such as fishing, sailing, visiting the zoo?

We are Sense Get Out There Group, a high specialist community care service in Kenilworth, who are passionate about supporting children and young adults. 

We’re seeking to recruit a great new support worker on a part time basis working 6-8 hours over the weekend, potentially additional hours during the school holidays; someone with the right values and behaviours to work in our bespoke service.

The person you will support loves being outdoors and enjoys activities such as fishing, kayaking, sailing and being with animals, also has a love for playing computer games. The individual has specified they would like you to be able to join in too. You will make each day be the best it can possibly be by doing activities where possible. You’ll be adaptive and able to come with ideas and solutions quickly.

For genuine occupational reasons we are looking to appoint a male candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9). You must have a valid UK driving licence with the use of your own vehicle. 

However, you don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need care qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker, we will provide you with all the training you may require. Above all we want someone that shares in our values.

The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they all treated as such. However, as a general guide, duties may include activities such as supporting the young person to access the community and encourage their communication and social interaction.
