We are Sense, a high quality care service in Bristol, who are passionate about supporting individuals with complex needs, including sensory losses and learning disabilities.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our expanding Community Services for a Community Support Worker working in Bristol. We are looking for someone to join our team of adaptable and motivated staff with great communication skills to help make a difference to the lives of the people we support.
The main purpose of your job is to support people to be as involved as possible in every part of their day to day lives so that they can be full and active members of society.
You will be working with people or various ages with complex communication needs. You will be community based and work with the same individuals each week. Currently you will work 10 hours per week but there is the option to increase this if you desire.
You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need care qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker / Intervenor, we will provide you with all the training you may require. The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they all treated as such. However, as a general guide, duties may include activities such as supporting the individuals to access the community and encourage their communication and social interaction.
