- Qualified Teacher Status, with a qualification related to teaching children who are deafblind / multi-sensory impaired.

About the role
Sense has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Specialist Services for Children and Young People team as a Multi Sensory Impairment Consultant Teacher. This role would be suitable for MSI Teachers, as well as Visual Impairment and Hearing Impairment Teachers with experience supporting children and young people who are deafblind/multi-sensory impaired
This role can either be home based, or based at our centre in Barnet. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week, on a fixed term maternity cover contract for 12-months. Part time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
As our Multi Sensory Impairment Consultant Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting children and young people who are deafblind and their families in a range of settings. You will undertake assessment and offer advice to identify educational needs, provide necessary support to meet those needs; this may include working in conjunction with other professionals from education, health, social care and other voluntary agencies. Work will be carried out both in person and virtually.
A full UK driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.
