Could you be a Sense Service Manager?
We are Sense Intervenor and Communicator Guide Services, a high quality community care service, who are passionate about supporting adults with complex needs, including sensory losses and learning disabilities.
We’re seeking to recruit a Service Manager to cover parental leave (12 months). You will oversee our CQC registered community based service for children, young people and adults. we are seeking an individual that is able to encourage a workplace culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support. You’ll also need to provide supervision and values-led management to a team of support workers.
The role will be both office and community based to support with overall day to day running of the Intervenor services.
The role will comprise of the following responsibilities:
Supervising and mentoring staff
Completing referral process for new services
Completing assessments of individuals
Maintain CQC standards and requirements throughout the service.
Attend contract meetings with local authorities
Support the service through audits, monitoring visits and CQC inspections
Community based aspect of role will require direct hands on support of supporting both children and adults who are congenitally deafblindbase.
Carrying out service reviews, spots checks and observations
Role will require liaising with professionals internal and externally, families and people we support. Attending multi-disciplinary professional meetings
Working in conjunction with educational settings i.e. schools to enable continuity between the home and school environments in regard to supporting children and young people’s communication, sensory needs and targets
