Could you be our next Registered Care Manager?

We are looking for a Registered Care Manager to join our team in Waltham Forest. This is an established house that support adults who have a range of complex needs, including sensory loss and learning disabilities. It is a fantastic opportunity for an innovative manager to lead a team to provide support and create opportunities for the people who Sense supports.


What should I expect?

We would like you to register with CQC as the RCM for the service. No one at Sense is a ‘hands off’ manager, you will have a hands on attitude and be dedicated to undertaking the management of our home. With your leadership your team will support our individuals to achieve their goals in life and will actively seek out opportunities for them to develop their skills and confidence. 

A salary of circa £26,800 plus £3090 allowance per annum, 37.5 hours per week. What we would like from you:

Knowledge of CQC and how to ensure service is compliant within community services. Knowledge of personalisation of services, how to involve those we support and their team in delivering person centred support. Committed to quality person-centred support and care, you will be responsible for delivering best practice in social care whilst continually developing our home.

We are seeking someone with a can do approach, someone who is able to see the possibilities and solutions to the challenges of managing a CQC registered service. Who strives for the best, is creative in thinking about how to achieve this, focusing on the positives with strong management skills.

You need to be committed to ensuring everyone we support is at the centre of their support, that we ensure support is developed using a co-production approach.

An excellent leader able to motivate and inspire a team to work together in flexible ways, to challenges stereo types – and help the people we support to live ordinary lives, doing extraordinary things.

An excellent communicator who truly listens to what the people we support and their families want, ability to communicate in BSL would be fantastic but having a willingness to learn BSL is just as important.
