Could you help some amazing people to communicate, express themselves and connect with the world?

Sense is currently recruiting Childrens Community Support Workers in Sandwell, this is a fixed term contract until March 2021 attracting a salary of £9.00 per hour, (there may be an opportunity for this to be extended). You would be working a minimum of 4 hours with a varied pattern of evenings and weekends. 

As a Childrens Community Support Worker you will support and enable people to live the life they choose: to make choices, to express themselves and live as independently as possible.

We work with many families and individuals with varied requirements accross Sandwell. You will be assessed and matched with a suitable individual depending on your suitability/availability.

For example you may be matched with 'family 1' and work 4hrs per week after school or 'family 2' - 3hrs in the evening, 'Family  3' - 4hrs at the weekend. You may be able to support more than one family we will work with you and the family/families to get the best match/outcome.

Key skills and experience

Previous formal care experience is not required for this role. It is really important that you’re adaptable and able to work on your own initiative, always putting the people we support first. We are looking for people that really embrace our values and ‘I’ statements.

A valid UK Driving Licence with use of your own vehicle is essential.
