Could you create a variety of Social activities and education based sessions?
We are looking for Support Workers to join our TouchBase South East Centre, this is a permanent contract working up to 37.5 hours per week with an hourly rate of £10.58 inclusive of London Weighting.
About the role…
As a Support Worker you will be based at our Touch Base South East Centre, a purpose built centre which is the base for a huge variety of social activities and education based sessions, it is located within the heart of the local community and is a short walk from our allotment plot and the local high street.
Sessions are tailor-made to suit individual or group needs accross the whole week, Monday - Sunday. This means that members of our team could be supporting somebody out on a day trip one day and in the hydrotherapy pool the next. Other activities on offer to the people we support in Barnet include IT, basic literacy and numeracy, gardening, cooking, music activities, communication practice, work placements in local businesses, art activities, sensory environments and to access facilities in the local community. You will also provide varying levels of support with personal care tasks.
Key skills and experience
Previous formal care experience is not required for this role. However, it is really important that you’re adaptable and able to work on your own initiative, always putting the people we support first.
