Sense has a great opportunity for individuals to join our team as a Support Worker in Glastonbury. This is a 6 month Fixed Term contract, working 22.5 hours per week which will include weekends and regular sleep ins. There may be potential for extension or a permant post after this time.
As a Support Worker you will support and enable people to live the life they choose: to make choices, to express themselves and live as independently as possible. You will support an individual and encourage them to run their own lives as much as possible – helping with personal care, supporting someone to rustle up some breakfast, do the weekly shop or visit a local café.
Here at Glastonbury we are a very cheerful house with lots of activities happening - we even grow our own fruit & vegetables. We enjoy taking part in arts and wellbeing activities, dance, music making, trampolining, cooking, visiting shops, going to the beach, swimming, horse riding & going on holiday.

Experience is not necessarily required for this role as we are able to support you and provide you with an excellent induction. However, it is really important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to people’s lives. You need to be enthusiastic, energetic and willing to learn & try new things.
Flexibility is needed as working times do vary and will include evenings, weekends and sleep-ins; we will however provide you with a rota in advance so you can plan your life accordingly.

A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is preferred but is not essential.
