About the role

We’re looking for reliable and motivated people to join our professional team of Specialist Support Workers at our Adult Social Care provision in Rothwell, Kettering working as part of our Relief Team.  Our relief arrangements are very flexible and can fit around your life.

The successful applicant will work with people who have dual or single sensory impairment, learning disability and / or autism. The role involves providing a person centred approach to meet communication, information and mobility needs through the development of learning plans to reduce the isolation of people through community involvement and support in a range of activities.

Sense, set in the beautiful grounds of Rothwell Grange Court, and surrounded by open rural countryside, is easily accessible from Corby, Kettering, Northampton, Wellingborough, Rushden, and surrounding villages; it is at the heart of the community, offering both vocational and educational qualifications supported by Edexcel and ASDAN along with a social day care facility, which supports a pioneering total communication approach and celebrates success so others can see what is possible.

About you

Previous experience of working with people who have a sensory impairment, autism or learning disability would be an advantage, training will be provided.

It is essential that you are able to work effectively as part of a team whilst demonstrating your own initiative. You will have had experience of person centred planning, keeping records up to date and providing personal care.
