About the role

Sense are currently recruiting Support Workers to join our supported living service in Selly Park, Birmingham. We have a number of vacancies available working up to 37.5 hours per week.

We're looking for people who enjoy an active lifestyle to enable and encourage a young adult to do the things they love. This individual likes to get out and about; taking part in activities such as horse riding, water sports and hydrotherapy, walking, and listening to music. As well as assisting with personal care, we're looking for someone who will promote the independence of the people we support and enjoy these activities alongside them.

Due to the needs of the service, it's essential you have a full UK manual driving licence and are willing to drive a company provided car.

Key skills and experience

Care experience is not necessarily required for this role. You know if you have the compassion and motivation to improve people’s quality of life, Sense can give you the skills. It is really important that you’re adaptable and able to work on your own initiative, always putting the people we support first. We are particularly interested in candidates who have British Sign Language skills.

Flexibility is needed as working times will include evenings and weekends.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
