About the role

We are currently recruiting a Waking Nights Support Worker to join us at our supported living service in Havant. We have a 30-hour vacancy where you attracting a salary of £8.50 per hour.  We work 12 hour shifts from 8am to 8pm and 8pm to 8am.  You will be required to work on a rolling rota of 2 wake nights one week and three wake nights the following week, with additional hours often being available as overtime during the day and night.

We often have overtime available if you would be interested in increasing your hours from time to time. 

As a support worker at our service in Havant, you will be working with one individual who is deafblind and very active! They live an incredibly full life and love to be out and about as often as possible.  

Every day is different in this service and one day you may be assisting the person we support to go shopping or run errands and the next day you may be going to the beach, going roller skating or bike riding, creating artwork together or sitting and listening to the radio. 

The individual that we support also goes on a number of holidays per year and requires support workers to assist them whilst on holiday.

We also have casual (bank) opportunities in this area attracting an hourly rate of £8.21

We are also looking for fun loving individuals to join our day support team (please refer to separate advert) and  relief worker team, to cover staff annual leave and sickness on an adhoc basis.

About you 

Experience is not necessarily required for this role as we are able to support you and provide you with an excellent induction. However, it is really important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to people’s lives.

It is really important that you enjoy swimming and being around water, as a proportion of your time will be spent assisting the individual that we support to enjoy water-based activities.
