About the role

Sense is looking for a reliable and motivated Education Service Manager to join our team at our specialist education and day service, in Aldeby, Norfolk. This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours per week, to cover a period of maternity leave until January 2021.

As our Education Service Manager you will work with colleagues to effectively manage, plan and implement a quality education, learning and care provision for learners with sensory impairments and additional learning difficulties. You will ensure that every opportunity is given to the individuals we support to access further education and supported work programmes.

You will supervise centre staff and ensure that the service is achieving high standards in line with Ofsted, the Education and Skills Funding Agency, and Local Authority regulations.

About you 

The successful candidate will have relevant degree level and teaching qualifications. You will have proven experience of supervising and line managing staff in accordance with policy and legislation. It would be fantastic if you have experience of supporting people with sensory impairments, learning disabilities and complex needs. 

You will have experience of dealing with challenging situations and of advocating in the best interests of individuals.
