About the role
Sense Volunteering is about bringing people together to make a big difference to individuals, to groups and to the wider community. Volunteers support Sense in a variety of different ways, and play a key role in the delivery of our new strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of shaping and setting up the administration processes to support the recruitment of volunteers as well as putting them into practice. You’ll get involved in a variety of different aspects of recruitment from; responding to enquiries from potential volunteers, through to placing adverts and carrying out screening checks.
We want all potential volunteers to have a great experience of Sense, from point of initial enquiry through to starting their volunteer role with us. In addition, providing an efficient service to managers looking to recruit volunteers to their teams is key to this role.
The hours for this role are 22.5 hours per week – we are able to offer flexibility around the hours of working. This role will be on a fixed term contract for 6 months, after which it will be reviewed.
With proven administration experience, our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who is able to build effective working relationships with volunteers and staff to ensure a great experience of Sense volunteering. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience of administering a recruitment process.
This will be a varied role that will require you to be organised, able to manage a busy workload, and have the ability to work using your own initiative to solve problems. You will have strong IT skills, and will be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
