Sense has a great opportunity for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Childrens Support Worker in Smethwick. We have a number of part full time roles available working 3.5 - 7 hours every other Saturday. This position is to support children in our Saturday youthclub every other week and our holiday clubs during school holidays and half terms.

As a Support Worker you will support and enable people to live the life they choose: to make choices, to express themselves and live as independently as possible. Sense supports people to take part in some of our amazing arts and wellbeing activities – from dance to music making, swimming to rock climbing.

Being a Sense Support Worker can be the springboard to your future career - and to all sorts of opportunities and management roles.

For genuine occupational reasons we are looking to appoint a female candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).

A full UK driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.

About you 

Experience is not necessarily required for this role as we are able to support you and provide you with an excellent induction. However, it is really important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to people’s lives. You must ideally be qualified to Level 2 NVQ Caring for Children and Young People, Health and Social Care or willing to work towards this after completion care certificate within the first 6 months.
