About the role

Sense has a great opportunity for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Senior Support Worker in Liverpool. We have a permanent, part time time role available working 16 hours per week attracting a salary of £9.08 per hour

Sense is the leading charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. We are currently looking for reliable and motivated people to join our Communicator Guide team covering the Liverpool area.

The Communicator Guide Service delivers direct support to people with sensory impairments in their own homes and in the wider community.  As a member of the team, you will need to be resourceful, innovative and confident about working with people in a variety of settings.

A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role.

About you

We would like to hear from you if you have experience of working with vulnerable people, and ideally have experience of working with people with a sensory impairment. A willingness to develop your skills in all communication methods is an essential part of this role.

If you are outgoing, creative, hardworking and believe that you have what it takes to make a difference to somebody’s life, then we want to hear from you.

Flexibility is needed as working times do vary and will include evenings and weekends.

About us

For everyone living with complex disabilities. For everyone who is deafblind. Sense is here to help people communicate and experience the world.

We believe that no one, no matter how complex their disabilities, should be isolated, left out, or unable to fulfil their potential.

Sense has a proven record of offering high quality, pioneering services.

Working as a Support Worker at Sense can be incredibly rewarding; we offer the opportunity to work in a large, diverse and successful charity where people can develop their skills, knowledge and careers in a supportive and flexible environment. In addition, we have excellent training and development, the opportunity for you to join our Group Personal Pension scheme and a generous annual leave entitlement.

Our selection process aims to make sure that the role is right for you and you are right for us.  It involves completing an online application form, taking part in a value based interview/assessment process and visiting one of our services.
