About the role

Sense are looking for a reliable and dedicated Deputy Care Manager to join our Community Services team at our locations across the West Midlands area. This is a part time post working 30 hours per week.

As a Deputy Care Manager you will provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to the people we support. You will be a frontline supervisor, supporting the Community Services Manager to effectively lead a team of staff to deliver person centred, specialist services. In addition, you will assist in the development of new services.

This is an exciting time to join Sense as we expand and improve our services.

Our community services are based throughout the West Midlands, including Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick and Staffordshire. As such a full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role.*

About you

We’re looking for someone with a strong care background who wants the next challenge in their career. You will need to have had proven experience of supervising and line managing staff, as well as the ability to coordinate and plan a range of activities. The successful candidate will have experience of dealing with challenging situations and of advocating in the best interests of individuals.

Due to the communication needs of the people we support it’d be great if you had some British Sign Language ability or showed an interest in learning a new skill.
