Are you an experienced Social Care Worker looking for a fresh challenge at an exciting new service?

Sense are looking for motivated Deputy Care Managers to join our brand new Supported Living service in Bristol. This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week.

About the role

This is a new and exciting role and you will form part of the management team, managing a 2 person service and the supporting young people with learning disabilities and autism that may display behaviours that challenge, who are moving onto their first home. We are looking for creative and supportive people who have a can do attitude.  Individuals who are prepared to challenge stereotypes and feel passionately about the rights of vulnerable young people to have an ordinary life, doing extraordinary things.

Through your great leadership your team will feel valued and well supported. You will be supporting the registered care manager to ensure that the service is compliant with CQC and is co-produced with individuals and their circles of support, to ensure great outcomes are achieved.

You will support the team to enable individuals to live the life they choose: to make choices, to express themselves and live as independently as possible. Your leadership skills, coaching, team guidance and support will assist individuals to run their own lives as much as possible.

About you

The successful candidate will have experience of dealing with challenging situations and of advocating in the best interests of individuals.

You will need to have had proven experience of supervising and line managing staff, as well as experience of coordinating and planning a range of activities. 

You will need to have a sound knowledge of person centred planning, rota planning and staff management/development. We would like to hear from you if you are a committed, flexible and enthusiastic team player who is able to coach and mentor a team of support workers. You will be IT literate and able to undertake some administration duties.
